Artistic Judge Training
This course is designed for those who wish to understand and evaulate performance art om a deeper level.
Our Foundation is launching an Pole Art Judge and Aerial Art Judge Development Course.
The course is open to anyone with at least 1 year of art or sports background experience. Applicants are required to submit a professional introduction.
The course places the greatest emphasis on evaulating artistic self- expression.
Topics covered during the course include:
- How can we distinguish stage performance styles from one another?
- What are the definitions of the different performance categories, and, why is it important to understand them?
- Stage methodology and performance structure.
- How is choreography built, and what are the key elements is creating one?
- How can we determine, based on what we see on stage, how artistically expressive a performance is?
- How can emotional expression be evaulated and scored?
- What makes the difference between two performances?
- What makes one performance stronger than another?
These and many other questions will be answered during the Art Judge Course.
The course held online and lasts one full day.
With the help of live translation support, participants can attend the course in their own language.
The practical section includes online group video analysis and evaulation.
Participants who succesfully complete the course will receive an official certificate issued by the Foundation.
Completion of the course provides eligibility for official Artistic Judge status at Foundation- approved competitions.

The training will be led by Barbara Palmaffy- graduate of the Hungarian Ballett Academy, accomplished stage artist with over two decades of professional experience in the world of dance and performance, appearing both soloist and featured character performer. She is also two-time World Champion in Duo category, creator and chief organizer of Pole Artistic Hungary. Founder of the MaRa Foundation.
